West Java Police Dismiss 28 Personnel Disrespectfully

The West Java Regional Police made dishonorable dismissals (PTDH) of 28 Polri personnel because they were considered to have violated the code of ethics based on the facts and results of the examination carried out. West Java Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus said the dishonorable dismissal was a manifestation and form of the realization of the National Police in imposing sanctions for personnel who had tarnished the name of this institution. "Where the National Police institution continues to strive to build trust by serving predictively, responsibility and transparency fairly, but is littered and damaged by irresponsible persons," said Akhmad in Bandung, Antara, Monday, March 4. Akhmad said the 28 personnel who underwent the PTDH ceremony had violations because they were charged with criminal cases of theft, narcotics, violence, sexual irregularities to desertion or running away from duty. "Regarding that, as the leader of the West Java Regional Police, I will not hesitate to take firm action against all personnel who commit acts of violation and other cases," said Akhmad. He emphasized that being a member of the National Police is an honor that must be maintained properly. For this reason, he reminded every member not to take disciplinary actions, criminal acts, or violate the code of ethics. "This should be used as material for introspection and evaluation for all members of the West Java Regional Police, that being a member of the National Police is an honor and glory that is not easily achieved," he said.

Akhmad hopes that all ranks of West Java Regional Police personnel can maintain integrity and professionalism within the ranks of the National Police, so that no more personnel will be punished with dishonorable dismissal. "It is hoped that the personnel of the West Java Regional Police will always improve their performance and discipline in carrying out their duties as protectors, protectors and public servants," he said.
