East Java Police Forms Team To Investigate Explosion At Gegana Brimob Headquarters

The East Java Regional Police are said to have formed a team in handling the explosion incident that occurred at the Gegana Satua Brimob Detachment Headquarters.

So far, the explosion incident is thought to have originated from the finding of mortars from the remnants of the war that had not been destroyed.

"It has been conveyed by the Police Chief and immediately formed a team, of course the team is still working," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, to reporters, Monday, March 4.

The team is a combination of Forensic members and Brimob. A search for clues will be carried out by the team to reveal the exact cause of the explosion.

Regarding the development of the temporary investigation, Trunoyudo has not been able to convey it. The reason is that the team formed by the East Java Police Chief is still working.

In addition, later regarding the development of handling the explosion incident, the East Java Regional Police will convey it directly.

"Of course, the team is still working on further developments, which will be conveyed by the East Java Regional Police," he said.

Trunoyudo also said that the delivery of the one-door information was carried out to prevent false news from appearing regarding the incident.

"We also hope that no information will become part of the hoaxes that will then be developed," said Trunoyudo.

Meanwhile, the explosion incident occurred at the East Java Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters on Jalan Raya Gresik number 39 Surabaya, at around 10.19 WIB.

The explosion caused material losses in the form of office shophouses and a car containing Jibom equipment. However, there were no fatalities as a result of the incident.
