JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor Regency, West Java, evacuated two residents of Singajaya Village, Jonggol, who died from gas poisoning in a well.

"It is suspected that the victim breathed CO gas from an alkon water pump machine, which was used to suck up well water," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Bogor Regency BPBD M Adam Hamdani, quoted from Antara, Sunday, March 3.

He revealed that the incident began when the victim named Hudri (32) was about to clean the well water in which the cat carcass was on Sunday at around 10.45 WIB.

At that time, Hudri brought an alkon or water pump engine into the well with the intention of draining water contaminated with cat carcasses. But, not long after, Hudri shouted for help from inside the well because he was suspected of being poisoned by the drain gas from the alkon engine.

"Then one of his colleagues on behalf of Kusnadi (24) tried to come down to help Hudri, and was suspected of inhaling alkon smoke as well," he said.

Adam said the victim, on behalf of Kusnadi, was evacuated from the well by the BPBD Team in a dead condition.

Meanwhile, the victim, on behalf of Hudri, was evacuated from the well in a condition where the lifeblood was still pulsating. However, not long after, Hudri died.

"The victim in the name of Hudri is still in a state of pulse but there is no breath. Then he was taken to the nearest Puskesmas and declared dead by the Puskesmas," said Adam. (KR-MFS).
