Indonesian KPU: Overseas National Recapitulation Will Be Completed Tomorrow Afternoon

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia is targeting "The Open Pleno Meeting of the Recapitulation of National Vote Counting Results and the Determination of Simultaneous Election Results in 2024" which discusses the national recapitulation for foreign votes can be completed tomorrow, Monday afternoon, March 4.

"Alhamdulillah, everything has been determined by us. There are only a few more, and hopefully if not tonight, tomorrow afternoon, God willing, it may be finished," said Idham at the KPU RI Building, Jakarta, Sunday, March 3.

In addition, Idham explained that the recapitulation process for vote acquisitions from abroad had reached 90 percent until Sunday afternoon.

"Alhamdulillah, the recapitulation process for the votes acquired from abroad by the Indonesian KPU has gone smoothly. As of this afternoon, more than 90 percent of PPLN (Overseas Election Committee) has completed the reading of the Model D. PPLN results form document," he said.

Meanwhile, Idham acknowledged the dynamics in the implementation of the 2024 election collection, calculation, and recapitulation outside Indonesia.

"But in general it can be resolved properly, and now more than 90 percent have read out the Model D. Hasil form," he said.

Previously, the KPU started the national recapitulation process for foreign votes starting Wednesday (28/2) with PPLN Athens, Greece, as the first to read out the results of the 2024 election votes.

The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, members of the provincial DPRD, and members of the district/city DPRD with a national voter list (DPT) of 204,807,222 voters.

The 2024 election was attended by 18 national political parties, namely (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party.

Next, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN), Partai Hanura, Partai Garuda, Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB), Partai Demokrat, Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), Partai Perindo, Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), and Partai Ummat.

In addition, there are six local political parties as participants, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Acehnese People's Independent Solidity Party.

Furthermore, the presidential and vice presidential elections were followed by three pairs, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md number 3.

According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
