JAKARTA - The South Lampung Resort Police (Polres), the Lampung Police, investigated the death of a student suspected of being beaten and persecuted in the Miftahul Huda 606 Ponpes area, Agrom Village, Kalianda District, on Sunday morning.

South Lampung Police Chief, AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin said that his party is currently continuing to investigate to reveal the perpetrators and the motive for the murder.

"Still being investigated, this morning the Identification Team conducted a crime scene (TKP) and took information from witnesses," said AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin, Antara, Sunday, March 3.

He explained, on Sunday, March 03, 2024, at around 01.30 WIB in the Miftahul Huda 606 Islamic Boarding School, Banyumas Hamlet, Agom Village, it was suspected that there was a criminal act of persecution and beating the victim of a student with the initials M (16) in a way during the training level increase at the PSHT pencak silat college.

"During the persecution and beating, physical violence occurred in the form of beatings, resulting in the victim's death," he said.

Then the victim was rushed to the hospital before finally being declared dead.

"Furthermore, the victim was rushed to Bob Bazar Kalida Hospital and the reporter conveyed the incident to the SPKT of the South Lampung Police for follow-up," he said.
