BNPB Opens Registration For House Renovation Applications Affected By Natural Disasters

JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has opened registration for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damage to houses and other facilities belonging to victims affected by natural disasters.

Victims affected by natural disasters can apply for efforts to reconstruct the damage experienced online through the application system or page http://www.eproposal.rr.bnpb.go.id/.

Director of Facilitation for Handling Victims and Refugees of BNPB Yus Rizal in a written statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 2, said this was intended so that residents affected by natural disasters could quickly recover and return to normal activities.

His party has socialized related to the registration of the reconstruction application to communities affected by the disaster and local governments, one of which is in Demak Regency, Central Java.

Although he did not specify, he ensured that the incoming data would be processed and then sorted, which would be asked for support from the district, provincial, or central governments.

This is because, he said, in addition to cleaning locations and repairing emergency infrastructure, efforts that can be maximized during the transition period are rehabilitation and reconstruction planning.

Based on a report from the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, it recorded 350 national natural disasters that occurred from January to February 26, 2024, flood disasters, extreme weather, landslides, tidal waves, earthquakes and forest and land fires.

The impact of the damage recorded at least 13,232 housing units consisting of 461 heavily damaged, 879 moderately damaged, 11,892 lightly damaged. The total damage facilities 243 units consist of educational units (217 units), houses of worship (10), health service facilities (16), offices (4), and bridges (30).

For this reason, Yuz encouraged local governments to immediately record damage, losses, and the needs of disaster-affected facilities and infrastructure to accelerate the rehabilitation and reconstruction process.

The E-Proposal for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction is an application to include proposals or proposals for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction assistance submitted by the regional government (Regional Disaster Management Agency) to the central government (BNPB).

This website-based application was developed by the Deputy for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of BNPB to make it easier for local governments to submit proposals effectively, efficiently, accountably, and transparently by utilizing the development of science and technology.
