Making Residents Uneasy, Tegal Police Arrest One Gangster Member Who Went Viral On Social Media

TEGAL The action of a convoy of youths with motorized vehicles on the roads of Tegal City, Central Java has gone viral on social media. Like a terror that makes the surrounding community restless, because the gang suspected of being a gangster has raised sickles and machetes.

Responding to the viral video, the Tegal City Police did not remain silent. The police immediately followed up by conducting an investigation into the perpetrators.

Tegal City Police Chief AKBP Rully Thomas said his party had dispatched members to investigate who the perpetrators were in the viral video.

"Thanks to the people of Tegal City, for their information and concern about the development of the situation in Tegal City. And regarding the video that had gone viral, we have conducted an investigation to reveal who the perpetrators were," said AKBP Rully Thomas in a written statement, Friday, March 1.

According to the Police Chief, the incident in the video has actually been around for a long time. However, it only went viral yesterday on Thursday, February 29 on social media.

Armed with information and data obtained, the Tegal City Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately moved to find the perpetrators.

"Armed with the available information, we managed to secure a number of perpetrators. We have secured them along with the evidence in the Tegal Regency area. And now, we have detained the perpetrators for further investigation to develop other perpetrators," he explained.

The police chief also emphasized that in an effort to create akamtibmas that is conducive, his party will act decisively. The Tegal City Police will not provide the slightest space for perpetrators of law violations.

"We need to convey that the Tegal City Police will take firm action against the perpetrators of the crime. We will not provide the slightest space for lawbreakers to carry out their actions in Tegal City," he said.

We do this, for the sake of the realization of a safe and conducive city of Tegal after the election vote and before the arrival of Ramadan 1445 H.

"Soon we will enter the Holy Month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri. For this reason, we are trying to give our best to the community. Because with a conducive situation, the community, especially Muslims, can carry out Ramadan worship well," he said.
