Gathan Saleh Hilabi Arrested While Hiding In The Showroom Of A Car In The Tajur Bogor Area

East Jakarta Metro Police arrested Gathan Saleh Hilabi, the suspected shooter in the Bogor area, West Java. East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said that Gathan was arrested while hiding in a car showroom.

"The suspect was arrested at a car showroom in the Tajur area, South Bogor," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to reporters, Thursday, February 29.

However, when he was arrested, the police did not find the firearm used by the perpetrator to shoot his colleague in the Jatinegara area.

"The gun was not found because the perpetrator admitted that the weapon had been thrown away. Regarding the results of the examination, it was true that the weapons used were a lock and barreta type firearm," he said.

After a search was carried out, the alleged perpetrator was taken to the East Jakarta Police Headquarters. However, until now, Gathan's status has not become a suspect.

"The perpetrator wanted to be examined after his lawyer was present," he said.

The shooting of a firearm took place in an office on Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Bali Mester, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

According to eyewitnesses to the incident, Andika Mowardi (32) said that he almost became a victim of the shooting when the incident occurred. The shooter with the initials G, who is the ex-husband of the artist. The incident occurred last Thursday, February 8, 2024.

At that time he ran into the perpetrator in the office parking area. The perpetrator then chased the victim and tried to shoot him. The incident was caught on CCTV cameras at the scene.

The perpetrator who confronted the victim then fired a firearm and chased the victim who ran into his shop house (ruko).

"I have known the perpetrator for a long time, I happen to be friends. I don't know what problem he (G) suddenly shot at me three times," Andika told reporters, Monday, February 24.
