PAD Solo Not Capai Target, Gibran Gencar Finds Investors

Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka is committed to increasing local revenue (PAD) Solo for this year by making a number of efforts.

"Actually, our PAD has increased, but has not been able to achieve the expected target. That's why I am aggressively looking for CSR, bringing in investors," said Gibran, in Solo, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 28.

In addition, according to him, other efforts made are the privatization of the city government's land in collaboration.

"We want our land to be used for productive activities. Moreover, Solo is pure income from taxes and levies," he also said.

Therefore, Gibran assessed that in the future, better creativity is needed.

"There is an intensification, extensification. I want in the future the achievement of PAD to be better," he also said.

Previously, the Head of the Surakarta City Bapenda as well as the Acting Head of the Surakarta City Financial and Asset Management Agency, Tulus Widajat, said that regional taxes in 2023 were reached at 84.11 percent.

"The target for regional taxes in 2023 is IDR 524.045 billion and realized IDR 441,597,304,536. Actually, the realization in 2023 is already higher than 2022, so there are more than IDR 33 billion," he said.

He said that the achievement in 2023 was almost the same as the previous year, which was 84.27 percent.

In addition, the realization of levies in 2023 was achieved 71.52 percent of the target, namely the target of IDR 85,443,461,840 and reached IDR 57,705,618,557.

According to him, some of the receipts that did not reach the target were under the PUPR Service, such as building approval (PBG).

He said there was an adjustment to the new building regulations, so that from the target set of Rp. 18 billion, only Rp. 5.5 billion was achieved.

"In addition to the rental of PDAM, there are no additional pipes, the land used does not increase, meaning that there is no rent for it. It is possible that this year there will be additional networks from PDAM, house connections will increase the retribution for using regional wealth," he said.

Tapi ada sejumlah organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD) yang retribusinya mencapai target, salah satunya pada Dinas Perhubungan yang target retribusinya mencapai 100 persen lebih.

"Last year there was still parking, vehicle tests and route permits, but now vehicle tests and route permits are gone, 2024 is gone," he said.
