Prabowo Receives An Increase In The Rank Of Honorary General, Gerindra Talks About The Results Of The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The Minister of Defense who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, today received a special award in the form of embedding the rank of Honorary General from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, assessed that Prabowo's promotion was the fruit of the dedication of the sacrifice of the former Danjen Kopassus to the state.

"This is the highest rank of four-star award in the military world, which of course is pinned to people who play an important role in the world of defense and dedication and high sacrifice to the people, nation and state," Muzani told reporters, Wednesday, February 18.

Muzani then mentioned the results of the quick count of the 2024 presidential election which placed Prabowo as a presidential candidate with the results of the top vote. According to him, the honor received by Prabowo is in line with his hard work so far.

"We hope that the awarding of this Honorary General will be a sign of the greater progress and sacrifice that will be given by General TNI (Ret.) Prabowo Subianto to the people, nation and state," Muzani hoped.

"Especially from the results of yesterday's presidential election, he will occupy the number 1 person in the Republic of Indonesia, namely as president," continued the Deputy Chair of the MPR.

As a cadre of the Gerindra Party, Muzani said he was proud of Prabowo's achievements. This achievement, he said, would be a trigger for all party cadres to be tireless in building the nation.

"Pak Prabowo is an inspiration and role model for us, that fighting for the nation and state must not stop, must not feel tired, must not give up, let alone feel defeated," he said.

"We are all wholeheartedly sure that what Mr. Prabowo did yesterday, at this time, and what will come is for the good of the Indonesian people as elected president. That is why we will all be loyal to stand behind you to provide support while leading Indonesia for the next 5 years," he concluded.
