Innalillahi, Former Supreme Court Justice And KPK Supervisory Board, Artidjo Alkostar, Has Passed Away

JAKARTA - Former Supreme Court Justice and one of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Dewas KPK) Artidjo Alkostar has died.

The news of Artidjo's death was confirmed by his colleague at the Dewas KPK, Syamsuddin Haris. "Yes (died), I also just got the news. I just want to go there," said Syamsuddin when confirmed, Sunday, February 28.

The former researcher of LIPI also cannot speak about the causes of Artidjo's death. The deceased is currently at the Kemayoran funeral home.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD also conveyed his condolences on his official Twitter, @mohmahfudmd, this Sunday evening.

"Artidjo Alkostar is a supreme judge who is nicknamed as the executioner by the corruptors. He does not hesitate to impose severe punishments on corruptors without caring about the political power map and political backup. Previously, the deceased was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law UII Yogya who was also a lawyer. During his time as a lawyer, he was known to be straight," tweeted Mahfud.
