PAPUA - Battalion 122/TS Task Force destroyed approximately 650 kilograms (kg) of betel nut smuggled from Papua New Guinea via footpaths or rat roads around the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border.

The destruction carried out by burning all the betel nut was carried out in Skouw, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua, Monday, February 26.

Deputy Commander of the Yonif 122/TS Task Force, Infantry Captain Adi Prayogo, in a written statement in Jayapura, Tuesday, said that 650 kilograms of betel nut fruit were secured on Friday (23/2) when a pickup truck driven by Indonesians passed in front of Skouw Main Command Post.
