JAKARTA - Welcoming the beginning of 2024, Culturalist and Founder of the Indonesian World - Museum (MURI), Jaya Suprana inaugurated the Jaya Suprana Institute (JSI) Building which was marked by friendship and friendly friendship with the Jaya Suprana Institute extended family as well as traditional and modern art performances in the Gading Kirana area, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Sunday, February 25.
This JSI building replaces the office which was previously located at the Mall of Indonesia as the place to oversee MURI, the MURI Gallery, Jaya Suprana School of Performing Arts (JSPA), and Laskar Indonesia Pusaka (LIP) which continues to grow.
Jaya Suprana Institute is a place for cultural collaboration, creation, and creativity of the nation's children's talents to be able to appreciate, be creative and express.
Standing on the pillars carried by Jaya Suprana herself, the Jaya Suprana Institute (JSI) is here to inflame the spirit of national pride, oversee Indonesian musical talents, present and archive the splendor of MURI which has been established since 1990, and invite collaboration opportunities between artists and culturalists on national and international stages.
The pillars in JSI include Appreciation: to appreciate extraordinary talents, JSI presents MURI as an appreciation of the superlature achievements that are an inspiration to the future. Learning: to offer a rich learning environment in fostering talent, JSI presents JSPA which is dedicated to developing the next great generation.
Show: to highlight extraordinary talent, JSI through LIP is a place to showcase excellence and bring outstanding artwork to the national and world stage.
Various art performances were displayed, including Pagellu Dance (Tana Toraja) by the Women's Dance Community, Tari Retna Adaninggar (Yogyakarta) by Asti Oktavia, Bekanan Srikandi Suradewati (Yogyakarta) by Mitra Tari Hadiprana, Duet Baruno and Merry Fauzi, Pentaboyz, and Michael Anthony's pianist appearance.
JSI areas are divided into several categories such as Saujana, National Synergy, Culture's Masterpiece, National Figures, Simultaneous Movements, Nusantara Kaya, Cita Talenta, Memento, Presidential Corridor, and Ki Nartosabdho Auditorium.
JSI houses the MURI Gallery which is open to the public every Monday-Friday at 09.00-17.00 WIB. There are also music class facilities at JSPA and have the Ki Nartosabdho auditorium dedicated to the traditional Jaya Suprana music teacher.
JSI is here to continue Jaya Suprana and Aylawati Sarwono's legacy of their love of the cultural diversity of the country and continue this performance with regeneration in every area they carry.
The Indonesian Record-World Museum (MURI) is the first and oldest record-making institution in Indonesia which has been present since January 27, 1990 to appreciate all forms of karsa and works created by Indonesian people.
