Police Arrest 5 Perpetrators Of Beating TNI Members In Badung

Badung Police, Bali arrested five suspected perpetrators of the beating of a TNI member with the initials CG (43).

Badung Police Chief AKBP Teguh Priyo Wasono said the five suspected perpetrators were from Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, and are still undergoing investigation by investigators.

"For the time being, an investigation is still being carried out. I have received a report that the main perpetrator has also been detained at the (North Kuta) Police," Teguh said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 26.

Teguh has not yet notified the initials of the alleged perpetrators and the motive for the beating is waiting for the results of the investigation by the Badung Police Satreskrim investigators, as well as the status of the five people who were arrested.

The case of the beating occurred when the victim CG was about to break up a dispute between female servants at a cafe on Mount Sangyang, Jambe Environment, Kerobokan Kaja, Badung, Bali and the perpetrators, on February 24, 2024 at 01.24 WITA.

The victim who came at around 01.00 WITA initially witnessed a female servant having a disagreement with the perpetrator. The victim, who is a member of the Village Development Officer (Babinsa) who carried out a dialogistic patrol in the area, tried to intervene between the two parties. However, the perpetrator resisted and tried to beat the victim.

The victim was hit in the mouth and one of the perpetrators threw a chair and did not hit the victim. Then the perpetrator immediately rushed to take a motorbike and fled from the location, then the victim immediately called a member at the North Kuta Police.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to the upper lip, and swelling in the hand.
