Until now, we are still waiting for the results of the investigation by the Bandung Police regarding the cause of the incident. "We are confirming (the cause), because at the location there are several cable types. The first is a steel sling cable which according to the witness was the result of a broken sampling and then being hit by a motorbike followed by another cable cut off. Who's the cable? We don't know yet. Is it PLN or Telkom's property? It's still being investigated," he said. The Bandung City Government continues to accelerate the reduction and heating of cables in order to provide comfort and security for the community. "The large step of the city government has assigned PT BII to lower air cables throughout the road. Second, we gradually lower the cable whose ducting is already on 13 roads," said Yayan. He appealed to operators and ISPs (Internet Service Providers) to comply with the rules for installing aerial cables in accordance with the rules contained in the Mayor's Regulation (Perwal) Number 43 of 2023. "Immediately report to us if there are dangerous cables, we will immediately dispatch a team to fix them," he said. A single accident was experienced by a motorcycle rider named Dodih (59) who died due to being wrapped in a cable hanging on Jalan Peta-Kopo, Bandung City on Sunday (25/2) night. Head of Gakkum Satlantas Polrestabes Bandung, AKP Arif Saepul Haris said the victim crossed Jalan Peta-Kopo at 19.15 WIB and fell because he was caught in a cable on the neck. "The Yamaha Jupiter Z motorcycle driven by Dodih drove from east to west on Jalan Peta Bandung, at the scene of the incident caught in a cable that stretched down blocking Jalan Peta from east to west," he said.

As a result of the single accident, the victim Dodih died on the spot and was evacuated to Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS), Bandung City.
