KEDIRI - A student is thought to have died because he was persecuted at a boarding school (ponpes) in Mayan Hamlet, Kranding Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency, East Java. The student with the initials BB came from Banyuwangi. The victim's family was angry when he received the repatriation of the victim's body with the findings of a number of wounds on his body. The family's anger was recorded viral on Instagram social media to WhatsApp. "We are still coordinating with the Banyuwangi Police for the investigation into the alleged case (of persecution)," said Bramastyo, Sunday, February 25.

His party learned about the incident after the victim's family gave an official report to the Banyuwangi Police. The victim's family had reported the incident to the Banyuwangi Police, then continued with the coordination of the crime scene (TKP) in the jurisdiction of the Kediri City Police. However, Bramastyo has not been able to provide further information about the case of mistreatment of the students. He also said that so far there has been no report from the boarding school concerned.
