JAKARTA - Demonstrations carried out by dozens of city transportation drivers (angkot) of KWK JU03 Pulogebang Terminal-Terminal Tanjung Priok via Tipar Cakung as a form of rejection of the new route.

The mass action of the angkot driver parked dozens of his vehicles on the side of the road in front of the Sukapura Village office, Cilincing, North Jakarta, February 23. So that it makes the road jammed.

Responding to the action, the Three Pillars of Sukapura Village summoned the management of KWK 03, APB 01 and Transjakarta to sit down together to mediate at the Sukapura Kelurahab Office. The meeting did not discuss the substance of the matter, but about congestion on Jalan Raya Tipar Cakung, North Jakarta, due to the demonstration.

As a result of mediation, the angkot driver asked the M.10 Transjakarta Bus not to operate first until the socialization of Transjakarta to the KWK management found a bright spot.

"The management of KWK 03 and APB 01 asked Transjakarta to carry out socialization first before the M.10 Tranjakarta Bus fleet operates, considering that its route crosses the KWK 03 and APB 01 route," he said based on information received, Friday, February 23.

Meanwhile, Director of Operations and Safety of PT Trans-Jakarta Daud Joseph said the route was previously operated by Metromini T41.

However, the route has been inactive for a long time, so it was taken over by TransJakarta. Therefore, it is returned to be activated according to Minimum Service Standards set by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

In addition, he assessed that by re-activated the route, it was part of the government to improve services to the community.

Regarding the existence of an angkot driver who refuses to comply with this policy, his party will coordinate with the Department of Transportation.

"Regarding the objection from other transportation, we will coordinate it with the Department of Transportation as the authority," he said.
