Visiting The Alpinist Unit Special Forces, PM Netanyahu Affirms Israel Is Ready To Do Anything To Return Residents

JAKARTA - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that Israel is ready to do whatever it takes to return their citizens on the northern border with Lebanese displaced.

He conveyed this when he met special forces in the snow of Israel's Defense Forces Alpinist Unit and the 188th Armored Brigade on Mount Hermon Thursday, discussing their targets on the northern border, where Hezbollah's activities on the Lebanese border had left dozens of lives and thousands more displaced.

PM Netanyahu received an overview of operational activities that have been carried out on Israel's northern border, since the start of the war with Hamas in Gaza before speaking with the army and commander of the unit, emphasizing the importance of eliminating threats posed by Hezbollah.

Giving congratulations to the soldiers on "extraordinary work since the start of the war," Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel was involved in the battle "from Gaza to Rafah to Hermon."

"In the southern region, we have one simple, total victory goal," the Prime Minister's office quoted Prime Minister Netanyahu as saying, as reported by The Times of Israel on February 22.

"We are heading for the removal of Hamas and the release of our hostages. We will not rest until we achieve a total victory," he said.

Further stressed, Israel is ready to restore security in the north by all necessary means. If it cannot be done through diplomacy or politics, it will be done through the use of military force.

"In the northern region, we have a simple goal, repatriating the population. To return the residents, we need to restore our sense of security, and to restore our sense of security, that's what we will do."

"However, Hezbollah must understand, we will restore security. I hope they receive this message," he concluded.
