What's Wrong With The DPR RI? After Denial Of Closed Vaccination, Reporting To Photo Of Journalists Is Prohibited

JAKARTA - The Secretary General (Secretary General) of the DPR RI, Indra Iskandar, has denied that vaccinations for DPR members were carried out behind closed doors. According to him, vaccine administration is carried out by implementing strict health protocols to protect council members who are at risk of being exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

"So it was carried out closed, not from a vaccination perspective, but from a security perspective. Nothing was covered up," said Indra at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, February 26.

Vaccination for DPR members was initially revealed in a video posted by a member of the Indonesian Parliament from the PKB faction, Abdul Kadir Karding, through his personal Instagram account, @abdulkadirkarding, Thursday, February 25.

Reporters then tried to find out where the vaccinations for DPR members were held. After being traced, it turned out that the vaccination of DPR members was held on the lower floor of the Turtle building.

Initially journalists were able to enter the location of the family vaccination held at the Parliament Complex. However, it turned out that the vaccination process was held closed.

Reporters who had entered the vaccination site were asked not to make news by the Secretariat General of the DPR. Photographs of the vaccination process for DPR members that had been taken by journalists were requested to be deleted.

Journalists who enter the vaccination location are even summoned and asked to sign the examination report (BAP). Journalists' KTPs were also photocopied.

Indra emphasized that vaccination activities within the DPR are not closed, but are designed with strict health protocols.

"The design of vaccine activities is carried out with strict health protocols. So that only interested people can enter and undergo the process. Inside the room there is a process of identity verification, checking from health personnel and after being vaccinated are given time to rest 30 minutes," said Indra.
