JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) explained the progress of the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT development with the Velodrome-Manggarai route. Now, Jakpro reduces the target of achieving development by the end of 2024.

Initially, the construction of the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT at the end of this year was planned to start a limited trial at Rawamangun Station and BPKP Scouts. However, now Jakpro is only targeting trials by the end of 2024 only at Manggarai Station.

"The Jakarta Phase 1B LRT project is projected to last for 36 months, with the first target being a limited trial (trial run) to Rawamangun Station at the end of 2024," Jakpro said in a statement, Thursday, February 22.

In the second week of February 2024, the progress of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT project has entered the occupation of an elevated structure or viaduct with progress on the construction of the foundation or boredpile at 129 points and the binding of the foundation before the column was established at the top or pilecap, the 1B Phase LRT is the same as the already operating Jakarta LRT. made with a floating path.

Now, the 1B Phase LRT construction project is also entering the cleaning of the project area (site clearing) and completing the installation of a 8,632-meter project fence on the Velodrome-Manggarai route.

"The aim of this project is to ensure the safety of work within the project environment, including the security of building materials and the work tools in it. Other progresses of tree relocation along the Velodrome 'Rawamangun route have been carried out as many as 237 trees from the target of 662 trees," explained Jakpro.

In addition, the progress of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT construction project has also completed the installation of barriers or road separators around the 8.709 meter long construction project or Bmoving barriers (MCB) on the Velodrome 'Manggarai route.

"This barrier or MCB is a composite concrete consisting of concrete and the frame is made of iron. However, even though MCB is strong and sturdy, this MCB can be moved efficiently according to its needs," he explained.

The 1B phase Jakarta LRT has a 4.6 kilometer line span which has 5 stations, namely Rawamangun Youth Station, BPKP Scout Station, Matraman Station Scout Market Station, and Manggarai Station.

Previously, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono explained that the construction of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT will all be completed for three years. By 2024, it is targeted that the LRT will be operational until Pramuka Station.

"Rawamangun-Pramuka is in position in September 2024, but until Manggarai in 2026," said Heru after the groundbreaking in the Velodrome Station area, East Jakarta, Monday, October 30, 2023.

So far, as many as 6 LRT stations have operated with a length of 5.2 kilometers in phase 1, namely Pegangsaan Dua, North Boulevard Station, South Boulevard Station, Pulomas Station, Equestrian Station, and Velodrome Station.

So, if phase 1B has been built, the Jakarta LRT has a route length of 12.2 kilometers with 11 stations ranging from Pegangsaan Dua Station to Manggarai Station. It is estimated that the journey from Pegangsaan Dua to Manggarai can be reached for 26 minutes.
