BOGOR - A resident in RT 1/RW 6, Kedungjaya Village, Bogor City, West Java with the initials UD (50) died from being stung by a wasp. Head of the Fire and Rescue Division at the Bogor City Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP) M. Ade Nugraha said, from information received by the DPKP, the wasp was stung on Wednesday afternoon and died in the evening. "Jadi orang tersebut berusaha untuk mengevakuasi wasp secara mandiri, dan karena tubuhnya itu banyak didap, akhirnya dibawa ke rumah sakit,” kata Ade dikutip dari Antara, Kamis, 22 Februari. Ade explained that it was suspected that the victim was an affinistic Vespa wasp who was known to be violent and could cause death. If the victim is stung by more than one or more, it is certain that the victim's body cannot withstand the sting suffered. The impact of affinistic Vespa wasp stings can be in the form of allergies, swelling, shortness of breath, and heart failure. "If it's true that the type is an affinistic Vespa wasp, and indeed a dangerous type of wasp should be more careful in dealing with the wasp," he explained. The management of RT 1/RW 6 Saefulloh said the victim was the marbot of the local mosque. The wasp's nest is located on one of the roofs of a resident's house which was discovered just last week. “ He just found out last week. The owner of the house just found out, ” he said.

At the time of the incident, he said, the victim tried to help get rid of the wasp's nest without personal protective equipment. The victim was stung by a wasp at around 11.00 WIB, and died at around 20.00 WIB in hospital. "The treatment to the local doctor was injected, he wanted to be given medicine or not, he was immediately taken to the Bogor City Hospital. But the hospital was full, taken to the Islamic Hospital. Immediately treated, died, ” he said.
