SAR Team Evacuation Of Foreign Tourist Corpses In Gili Trawangan

CENTRAL LOMBOK - The SAR team combined with Mataram evacuated the bodies of foreign nationals (WNA) found in the Gili Trawangan Beach area, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

"The body is temporarily secured next to the Gili Terawangan obvit post," said Head of the Mataram SAR Office Lalu Wahyu Efendi, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 21.

He said the victim was Valentina Lee, a 26-year-old from Ireland. The victim was found in thedeep turboleh Dive Master at a depth of 12 meters, then the body was taken up and lifted to the ship.

"Once the victim was promoted to the boat, immediately bleeding from the mouth and nose," he said.

Furthermore, the witnesses immediately took the victim's body to the Police station at Gili Trawangan Port and his party immediately dispatched personnel to help evacuate the victim

"When the victim was found in the water, he did not carry a swimming tool, only a corpse," he said.

The cause of death of the victim cannot be concluded, because the police are still conducting an investigation and are waiting for the autopsy results to determine the cause of the victim's death.

"We don't know the cause of death of the victim yet," he said.

He said the victim would be handed over to Narra Bay with friends of the victim related to the police and medical officers, because the victim's plan was to be taken to the Bhayangkara hospital in Mataram.

"The victim will be taken to the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital," he said.
