Palm Oil FFB Prices In Kaltara Experience An Increase

TANJUNG SELOR - The team to determine the purchase price of Fresh Fruitmarks or palm oil FFB for the production of plantations in North Kalimantan (Kaltara) increased in February.

Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security (DPKP) of Kaltara Province, Heri Rudiyono, said that currently the price of FFB for Palm Oil aged 10 to 20 years reached a high price of IDR 2,201.61 per kilogram (kg) from the previous price of IDR 2,131.77 per kg or an increase of IDR 69.84 per kg.

"The determination of the increase is stated in the minutes Number 525/02/FFB/II/2024, this is the result of a meeting of the team to determine the Purchase Price of palm oil FFB for Plantation Production in Kaltara," said Heri, Wednesday, February 21.

The price of TBS aged 3 years also increased by Rp63.78, from Rp1,920.92 to Rp1,984.14. Age 4 years increased by Rp64.89 from Rp1,971.30 to Rp2,036.19.

The price of FFB at the age of 5 years increased by IDR 68.7 from IDR 2,016.81 to IDR 2,083.51. The age of 6 years is IDR 2,124.54, an increase from the previous IDR 2,056.64,- (IDR 62.10,-)

Then the age of 7 years from the price of R 2,075.61 to Rp2,144.07, aged 8 years from the price of Rp 2,087.38 to 2,156.14 and the age of FFB 9 years also increased from

IDR 2,100.05 to IDR 2,169.14, - Meanwhile, the price of FFB from palm oil aged 10 to 20 years also increased from IDR 2,201.61 to IDR 2,131.77 per kg.

"The increase in FFB prices in Kaltara is in line with the increase in crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (kernel) prices in the global market.

"Currently (February) the price of the weighted CPO in Kaltara is Rp. 11,070.45, the previous price is Rp. 10,766.36. Or an increase of Rp. 304.09 per kg from the previous period," he explained.

"The price of the weighted kernel in Kaltara for the February 2024 period was Rp. 4,849.05 per kilogram from the previous period which was Rp. 4,879.05," continued Heri.

Heri hopes that the increase in the purchase price of palm oil FFB will provide significant benefits for farmers.

"The condition of the FFB price increase is also expected to increase palm oil production in Kaltara Province," he concluded.
