Aiman's Lawyers Will Present 2 Experts At The Pretrial Session

JAKARTA - The legal team Aiman Witjaksono stated that he would present two expert witnesses in the pretrial trial with the respondent investigators from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police.

"For tomorrow (Thursday 22/1) we present two experts," said Chief Justice of Aiman Witjaksono's Legal Team, Finsensius Mendrofa, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 21.

Finsen said that apart from expert witnesses, his party also brought a number of documents to be used as evidence at the follow-up trial with a duplicate agenda or the respondent's answer to the replica and proof.

According to him, expert witnesses cannot be conveyed who they are, but what is certain is that the two experts who will be presented have competence in the field that is being submitted in pretrial.

"We will also bring documents to prove later," he said.

At the trial of reading the replica or the answer to the response from the respondent said that his party rejected all the answers of the respondent which had been read out on Tuesday (20/2).

"Strictly rejecting the respondent's answer," said Finsen.

He said all the answers from the respondent regarding the confiscation of Aiman's belongings such as cell phones, Instagram social media accounts, SIM cards and emails could be confirmed to be invalid because they were legally flawed.

Previously, the Head of Legal Affairs for the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Leonardus Simamarta, said that the investigators had confiscated four pieces of evidence belonging to Aiman Witjaksono in accordance with the legislation.

Leonardus said that basically investigators asked for a confiscation permit from the South Jakarta District Court for evidence in the form of a cell phone, but after going through a series of examinations they felt they needed to confiscate IG, SIM card, and also Aiman's email account.

"We have explained that there is an urgent situation, in the sense that we already know that there is other evidence in the evidence that we have previously confiscated," he said.
