Focus On Guarding Legislative Votes, PKS Disposal Of Anies And Ganjar's Proposal On Rights

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) responded to the statement of Presidential Candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, who claimed that the Change Coalition parties were ready to cooperate with Ganjar Pranowo regarding the proposed right of inquiry in the DPR to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 presidential election. Instead of agreeing, PKS actually marginalized the proposal first. Because PKS is concentrating on guarding the votes acquired by its candidates in the DPR and in the DPRD. Moreover, PKS considers that the right of inquiry allegations of election fraud cannot be carried out in the near future.

"The proposal of Mas Ganjar and Mas Anies is good. But it doesn't seem like it can be done in the near future. The political party is concentrating on escorting votes in the legislature," said PKS spokesman Ahmad Mabruri, Wednesday, February 21. Mabruri was reluctant to comment further on the proposed right of inquiry. According to him, the details regarding this matter depend on the political situation going forward.

"We'll see about the situation and conditions," he added. However, Mabruri ensured that communication between his party and the political parties that carried Anies-Muhaimin, namely NasDem and PKB was still ongoing.

"If the communication between PKS friends in the AMIN national team is always communication," explained Mabruri. Previously, presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan emphasized that his party was ready to roll out the right of inquiry in the DPR regarding the alleged fraud in the 2024 General Election.

"I see that with the picket initiative the process in the DPR can run. We are ready with the data," said Anies Baswedan, Sesa on February 20.

Anies admitted that he had heard about Ganjar Pranowo who wanted to open the door to communication with the AMIN pair for the use of the DPR's right to inquiry.

"We heard that we would do (the DPR's right to inquiry), we saw that there was a good initiative and when Pak Ganjar conveyed his desire to do the inquiry," said Anies.

The party carried by Ganjar, namely PDIP, continued Anies, became a large faction in the DPR. Therefore, Anies is optimistic that the coalition of changes, namely Nasdem, PKB, PKS will jointly reach the right of inquiry.
