Chronology Of Landslide In Bogor City Causes 2 Workers To Die And 2 Injured

BOGOR - Head of BPBD Bogor City, Hidayatulloh revealed the chronology of the disaster of the Tanah Detention Wall (TPT) construction project that occurred in RT 02/04, Muarasari Village, South Bogor District on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, from this incident there were four workers who were victims. With details, two people died and two people were injured.

According to Hidayatulloh, this incident began when 22 workers were known to be carrying out TPT construction work at the location of the landslide incident.

However, at around 11:00 WIB, suddenly the land that was trapped again experienced a landslide and immediately hit the workers below.

Realizing this, the workers immediately saved themselves, and there were also several workers who were affected by landslide material.

"The impact of the landslide incident hit several TPT development workers, totaling 22 workers," said Hidayatulloh.

"This incident then resulted in 2 minor injuries and 2 deaths due to being buried by landslide material," he continued.

Meanwhile, the identities of the two victims died on behalf of Dede (24) and Uus Rustandi (55).

"Victim Dede was taken to the 24-hour Clinic and taken to Juliana Hospital in Bogor, but his life could not be saved," said the Head of BPBD Bogor City.

"For Mr. Uus Rustandi who died on the spot, the victim who was buried by the landslide was successfully picked up by the Joint SAR Team at 14.20 WIB. Currently, the victim's body has been taken to Juliana Hospital in Bogor," he continued.

Meanwhile, added Hidayatulloh, this incident caused landslides with a length of 20 meters and a height of 15 meters.

"It is suspected that the aftershocks occurred due to unstable soil conditions due to high rainfall recently, as well as eroded soil by the flow of Cibalok river water," said Hidayatulloh.
