BOGOR - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor City, West Java, evacuated residents buried by landslides to work on the Land Detention Wall (TPT) in Muarasari Village, Bogor City, Sunday, February 18. Head of BPBD Bogor City Hidayatulloh said the landslide occurred this morning at around 08.30 WIB. Then at 11.00 WIB, there was a larger landslide and resulted in the victim being buried.

From the temporary information he received, there were two workers who were buried by the landslide. One of them has been successfully evacuated dead.

"Well, the information we received was that one had been evacuated and taken to Juliana Hospital. Information from other workers was buried. But we are making sure," said Hidayatulloh.

Hidayatulloh said the evacuation was temporarily halted while BPBD was conducting an evaluation. This is because further landslides continue to occur, endangering the BPBD personnel and the Bogor City Fire Department who carried out the evacuation.

"That we must prioritize the safety of the personnel's souls. We help pray, hopefully the victim will be found soon in the midst of cloudy weather conditions. Landslides are still happening," he explained.

Furthermore, Hidayatulloh said, from the explanation of the Bogor City Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office, this project was the handling of reconstruction due to landslides that occurred on February 28, 2023.

Not only evacuating the buried victims, he continued, joint officers will also save several graves at the top of the landslide.

"The information we received in the past few weeks is being worked on. So when it started, there was another landslide, this was TPT," he said.
