MAKASSAR - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of South Sulawesi Province has identified a number of alleged violations of the 2024 General Election that occurred at polling stations (TPS) and the potential for re-voting or PSU to occur.

"The actual number is around 50 more polling stations. The data circulating in 38 PSUs is not yet fixed, because we identified more than 50 polling stations," said South Sulawesi Bawaslu member Saiful Jihad as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, February 18.

He stated that there are generally three cases that occur in South Sulawesi that are categorized as potential PSU.

First, there are people from outside the region, not a domicile place where the person chooses, but the person is not registered on the permanent voter list (dpt) or additional DPTb.

"For example, coming to choose temporarily without a form to move to vote, that's what happened a lot ( happened)," said the South Sulawesi Bawaslu Community Prevention and Participation Coordinator.

Second, there were voters who entered the DPTb but when they were at the TPS, five ballots were given. In fact, in the rules, for example, moving from Maros Regency to move to Makassar City, two ballots should have been given, but three to five ballots were given.

"Therefore, the advantage of the ballot is given, it can be in the PSU, right. Third, happening in South Sulawesi is that there are people who choose two times, choose the same or different polling stations. The last place of selection is what PSU recommends," he explained.

The PSU rules are based on article 372, paragraph 2, Law number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections, and KPU Regulation number 25 of 2023 concerning Voting and Counting in Elections, article 80 is described as relating to matters that can be held by the PSU. Allegations of violation are allowed by voters to vote without a letter of transfer of choice.

"If you vote twice, (the incident) is in Sidrap Regency, it is in Palopo City. So far, only two areas have been detected, there have been two voting, this is also a potential crime," said the man called Ipul.

However, Ipul has not been able to reveal which polling stations and which areas will be carried out by the PSU, because the rules for re-voting are carried out 10 days from voting day, in this case, the Indonesian KPU has determined on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

Previously, the Makassar City Bawaslu also found allegations of violations that allowed people who were not registered as voters but chose to be at the TPS. This happened to two sub-districts in Ujung Pandang District

"There are two TPS (potentially PSU). One is in Bulogading Village and the other is in Baru Village, Ujung Pandang District," said Makassar Bawaslu Member Rahmat Sukarno.

He explained that the alleged violation that occurred so that it could potentially be held by PSU, such as at Polling Station 002 Bulogading Village, it was found that three people were not registered to be obtained or from outside Makassar City chose to be at the TPS. And in Kelurahan Baru, the same case there were four people who voted at the TPS but were not registered with.

"At the Bulogading Village TPS, it was identified that two people chose from outside Makassar City, from Palu and Toraja. Meanwhile, in Kelurahan Baru there were four people who were not registered but chose," said the Coordinator of the Makassar Bawaslu Violation Handling Division.
