President Putin Congratulates Prabowo-Gibran For Temporary Victory In The 2024 General Election

JAKARTA - Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin on Friday 16 February congratulated presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka who outperformed the vote acquisition in the 2024 General Election based on the ongoing vote count. Putin said that the relationship between Russia and Indonesia has so far been based on the tradition of both friendship and mutual respect, and continues to grow rapidly in many fields. "I believe that as head of state, you will play a more overall role in advancing cooperation between Indonesia and Russia for the good of our country," Putin said, according to a written statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry received on Saturday, February 17. The Russian president hopes that the close cooperation between Russia and Indonesia will strengthen the security and stability of the Indo-Pacific region. He also hopes to establish a dialogue to build with Prabowo as well as develop beneficial cooperation in the latest issues in aspects of bilateral relations as well as international issues. According to the Communication Team Commander of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Budisatrio Djiwandono, a number of world leaders have congratulated Prabowo on his superior vote acquisition based on quick count results.

Menurut Budisatrio, para pemimpin dunia tersebut di antaranya Perdana Menteri Singapura Lee Hsien Loong, Perdana Menteri Australia Anthony Albanese, Perdana Menteri Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, serta Perdana Menteri Ceko Petr Fiala."Ini adalah ucapan-ucapan selamat pertama usai hitung cepat dari pemimpin dunia," kata Budisatrio, Kamis 15 Februari.Sementara itu, hingga Sabtu pukul 12.00 WIB, situs resmi KPU pemilu2024.kpu.go.id mencatat perolehan suara pasangan calon Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka mencapai 57,5 persen atau setara dengan 45.896.052 suara.Di posisi kedua, ditempati pasangan calon nomor urut 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar dengan perolehan suara 24,6 persen atau setara dengan 19.638.914 suara.Kemudian, posisi terakhir ditempati pasangan calon nomor urut 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD dengan persentase suara 17,89 persen atau setara dengan 14.282.586 suara.
