Gerindra Said About Position 3 In Quick Count Losing To PDIP

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani responded to the position of Gerinda which is under PDIP and Golkar in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). Although, in the presidential election contestation (Pilpres), Prabowo-Gibran, which he carries, is actually based on the results of a quick count or quick count. According to him, the calculation process has not been completed. Thus, the position of Gerinda can still rise slowly. "The calculation has not been completed even though there are different things on the ground," Muzani told reporters, Friday, February 16. Muzani said, regardless of the current quick count results and referring to internal calculations, Gerinda actually experienced an increase in vote acquisition. In fact, Gerinda will get more seats to sit in parliament by 2024. "But our calculation is that the number of party percentages has increased, the number of seats has also increased," said Muzani. Meanwhile, based on quick count data from Voxpol as of February 16 at 18.52 WIB, Gerindra was in third position with 13.46 percent of the votes. Gerindra's position was brought by Golkar who received 14.66 percent and PDIP by 16.88 percent.

Meanwhile, Prabowo-Gibran, who was promoted by Gerinda, took first place in the presidential election contestation with 56.94 percent of the votes. The pair number two left Anies-Cak Imin with 26.69 percent of the votes and 16.37 percent of Ganjar-Mahfud.
