Elections In Guangzhou: Anies-Cak Imin In Buncit Position, Prabowo-Gibran Top

JAKARTA - The Guangzhou Overseas Election Committee (PPLN) has finished counting all votes in the 2024 election with the winning results of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. "It was recorded that candidate pair number 1 received 48 votes, candidate pair number 2 received 332 votes, candidate pair number 3 received 262 votes and 14 votes were declared invalid," said PPLN head Guangzhou Teguh Sutanto in Guangzhou who was contacted by ANTARA from Beijing, China, Thursday, February 15. PPLN Guangzhou conducted voting papers for voters registered in the 2024 General Election through three methods, namely posts, mobile ballot boxes (KSK) and polling stations (TPS) in Guangzhou. "According to the KPU Regulation, voters abroad get the voting paper of the presidential/wapresional candidate pair and the DPR's vote paper for the Jakarta II electoral district," added Teguh. The implementation of the KSK was carried out at four working points of the Indonesian Consulate General in Guangzhou, namely Xiamen ( Fujian Province), Haikou ( Hainan Province), Guilin and Nanning ( Guangxi Province) simultaneously on February 4, 2024 at 10.00 – 16.00, while the vote at the TPS was held at Wisma Konjen RI in Guangzhou on February 14, 2024. "The total number of voters through these three methods is 656 voters who are present in all of our electoral methods, or 41 percent, where the number of DPT is recorded at 1,611 voters based on the national plenary meeting that has been set by the Indonesian KPU," said Teguh. According to Teguh, the implementation of the TPS method election on February 14, 2024 coincided with the Chinese New Year long holiday in China so that the movement of voters was quite dynamic. "PPLN Guangzhou noted a number of voters who came to vote in the Guangzhou PPLN working area because it coincided with the schedule for the presence of voters at various points of KSK and TPS," added Teguh.

In general, the implementation of the 2024 PPLN Guangzhou Election went smoothly. The voting moment in the 2024 General Election is also a means of gathering Indonesian migrants in China. "Currently, the recapitulation of vote count is still ongoing to the KPU," said Teguh.
