JAKARTA - A number of people with mental disorders (ODGJ) and the inmates of the Bina Laras Harapan Sentosa 2 Social Institution (PSBL HS) are enthusiastic about participating in voting at TPS 91 Jalan Bina Marga, Cipayung area, East Jakarta.

The ODGJs in dark red uniforms were seen queuing in an orderly manner while following the voting agenda.

In fact, before voting, the inmates and voters with mental disorders (ODGJ) had been given special guidance to accompany them on how to vote.

Head of the Bina Laras Harapan Sentosa 2 Social Institution, Syahrul, said that the voting activities at the orphanage had provided 4 polling stations.

"For 2024, (the number of DPT) as many as 445 people is divided into 4 polling stations in the environment. TPS is specifically for residents assisted by Panti Laras," Syahrul told reporters, Wednesday, February 14.

After being given directions, one by one the inmates then submitted several requirements to be given three sheets of paper to make their choice.

Furthermore, after conducting the election, they also did a bag of their fingers with blue ink as a sign that he had finished choosing his choice.

"The enthusiasm is quite happy to be involved in this election," he said.

The number of inmates registered was 445 people with 16 orphanage officers who were also members of the KPPS.
