JAKARTA - Former Regent of Central Tapanuli (Tapteng), Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani explained the facts about the viral video of him.

As is known, one of the social media accounts on X (Twitter) uploaded a screenshot photo that highlighted the man suspected of being Bakhtiar Sibarani. The account then made a red square mark on his face.

In the account post, a figure who looks like Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani is narrated as someone suspected of being the spokesman for the AMIN national team (Jubir) at the Malaysian gambling location. He also responded casually and smiled in this regard.

"It's a long video. About a year ago, when he was no longer the Regent, he was on vacation. We were in Genting, eating with family. Then, there was a friend from Medan who invited him to come inside," said Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani to reporters, Monday, February 12.

He explained the chronology of the video moment taken.

"I want to know about the location. Then I tried to go in to take a look, about half an hour, I left. An old video, please friends, you can check with Immigration when I last left for overseas. So we just laugh at this," he continued.

In the video, Bakhtiar is only seen standing and looking at the table. Meanwhile, there are a number of other people who are sitting in front of the table suspected of being playing.

"When I went there, there were friends, people I knew were playing. It's normal, I disturb, joke," he explained.

Bakhtiar deeply regrets that there are people who kill their characters by taking advantage of the video. He said that some time ago there were parties who wanted to blackmail him with the video capital. Obviously he refused this.

"Some asked me for money, from the unknown number of Rp. 10 billion related to the video. I just laughed. Never mind IDR 10 billion, I don't want 1 rupiah," he said.

Asked about more clearly who recorded the video, Bakhtiar realized that there was someone else, from Medan City, who at that time greeted him and greeted him. Then continue to take pictures.

"I'm on vacation. Usually people ask for photos. I forget who it is," he said.

According to him, the person could have given the video to certain individuals or groups who then used the video with bad intentions.

"I know who the group is. They used to be my friends. One of the famous groups in Medan City. But it seems they want to make me a victim of their fraud," said the man who is familiarly called BS.

The video upload, said Bakhtiar, also shows the ungentleman attitude of the person or party who intends to attack him. Bakhtiar realized that there was an attempt to build an opinion that cornered his figure.

He deeply regrets that the post on social media is clearly tendentious without confirming it first.

"If I open the name of the head of the group and its members here along with the data and evidence I have, let alone North Sumatra, Indonesia will definitely shake," he said.

He still shows an attitude of tolerance but firmly conveys that his efforts to defame and credibility are just a futile effort.

"I still haven't opened it because there are still people who I respect. If all I open, their names are carried away. I know exactly they were deceived. Once again, I remind those who feel they are part of this group: if you can use other people's hands to attack someone, you must also think about it because people can also do the same thing," concluded Bakhtiar Ahmad Sibarani.
