PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded 681,611 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area from February 7 to February 10, 2024, Isra Mikraj's Long Holiday and the 2024 Chinese New Year.
JSMR's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the figure was the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Barrier / Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (towards Merak), Ciawi GT (towards Puncak), and Cikampek Utama GT (towards Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (towards Bandung).
The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 14.32 percent compared to normal traffic of 596,215 vehicles.
For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority were 322,466 vehicles (47.31 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 192,638 vehicles (28.26 percent) heading West (Merak) and 166,507 vehicles (24.43 percent) heading South (Puncak).
The details of the traffic distribution are as follows:
EAST DIRECTION (JAVA & BANDUNG TRANS)
• Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 156,454 vehicles, an increase of 37.44 percent from normal traffic.
• Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via Kalihurip Utama GT Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 166,012 vehicles, an increase of 21.38 percent from normal traffic.
The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs was 322,466 vehicles, an increase of 28.67 percent from normal traffic.
WEST (MERAK)
Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was 192,638 vehicles, an increase of 0.49 percent from normal traffic.
SOUTHERN DIRECTION (PEAK)
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 166,507 vehicles, an increase of 8.19 percent from normal traffic.
Lisye Octaviana added that on the D day of the 2024 Chinese New Year, which fell on Saturday, February 10, monitoring of vehicle traffic returning to the Jabotabek area also began to increase compared to vehicles leaving Jabotabek.

Lisye said that the total volume of traffic increased by 19.39 percent when compared to normal traffic of 142,551 vehicles. In addition, he also predicts that on Sunday, February 11, 2024, there will still be an increase in traffic to Jabotabek which is predicted to be the peak of backflow.
