Denpasar Police Arrest Wisata Guide For Raping Chinese Citizens

DENPASAR - Denpasar Police, Bali, arrested a tour guide with the initials Faisal Akbar Ramadhan (29) who is suspected of having abused a woman from a foreign national (WNA) from China.

Head of the Denpasar Police Public Relations Section AKP Ketut Sukadi said the man from East Java was already at the Denpasar Police Headquarters for further questioning.

"Currently, the perpetrators have been detained at the Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit and are undergoing intensive investigations and investigations," Sukadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, February 10.

Sukadi explained that the rape incident against a tourist with the initials TH (26) occurred on Thursday (8/2). Initially the victim and his friend with the initials ZH (29) were escorted by the perpetrator to a nightclub in the Kuta area on Wednesday (7/2) night.

After enjoying entertainment and enjoying alcoholic beverages until 01.00 WITA Thursday (8/2), the victim and his friend asked the perpetrators to take them back to the hotel in the ITDC Nusa Dua area.

However, the perpetrator had bad intentions towards the victim so he made plans to persuade him into a hotel on the grounds that he was taking things from a friend.

"The perpetrator stopped his car at a hotel on Jalan Pratama Tanjung Benoa, South Kuta on the grounds that the perpetrator would take something and give it as a gift to the victim and his friend," said Sukadi.

The perpetrator also asked the victim for help to help him retrieve items in the hotel room. The victim who believed in the perpetrator followed the perpetrator arrived in the room, while his friend was waiting in the car.

When the victim entered the room, the perpetrator FAR immediately locked the bedroom door and tried to force TH victim to have sex. The victim refused and screamed, but the perpetrator slammed the victim on the bed, covered his face and then launched his depraved act.

Meanwhile, the victim's friend who was in the car got down to check on the victim because he had not come out of the hotel. The victim's friend also came to the room used by the perpetrator with the help of security officers and forcibly opened the bedroom door.

"The perpetrator tried to escape at that time but the victim's friend and the hotel security managed to secure the perpetrator who was the guide," said Sukadi.

To investigators, the perpetrator FAR admitted that he had intercourse with the victim and the perpetrator was attracted to the victim from when he was at a bar in the Kuta area, Badung.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 285 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning rape with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
