Putri Wiji Thukul Presents At The Ganjar-Mahfud People's Celebration, Collects Jokowi's Promise

SOLO - Putri Wiji Thukul, Fitri Nganthi Wani was present at the grand campaign stage titled Hajatan Rakyat pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD at Fort Vastenburg, Solo, Central Java.

Fitri alluded to President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) promise regarding his father's case. He said, the number one person in Indonesia had promised the government to find Wiji Thukul in any condition.

"Until now, we still remember the promise made by President Jokowi, regarding Mr. Wiji Thukul having to meet, the Wiji Thukul case must be completed, Wiji Thukul must be found alive or dead," said Fitri, Saturday, February 10.

President Jokowi, continued Fitri, conveyed his promise in front of journalists. In fact, the former governor of DKI Jakarta proudly called Wiji Thukul's family his best friend.

"He said his wife was a good friend of mine, and his children were good friends of mine. Of course, the Wiji Thukul case must be resolved, Wiji Thukul must meet alive or dead," he said.

However, that promise was never realized. In fact, until his mother died, the case of his father was never resolved.

"I spoke in front of many people about the case of forced disappearance that happened to Mr. Wiji Thukul, which has not yet been resolved. Even until Mrs. Sipon died," he said.

After that Fitri read one of the poems by Wiji Thukul entitled 'Only One Word: Opponent!'. When the poem was read, Ganjar looked serious listening. Meanwhile, the supporters who packed the location shouted the last verse at the same time.

"If the proposal is rejected without being weighed, silenced, criticism is prohibited for no reason, accused of being subversive and disturbing security, then there is only one word: opponent!"
