Bantul Resort Police, Yogyakarta Special Region said three passengers died after the tourism bus he was traveling on overturned on Jalan Imogiri-Mangunan. The incident took place at the Wanagama Bawah Bukit Bego bend, Wukirsari Village, Imogiri, on Thursday afternoon, February 8.

"Three victims, namely the initials SW (57) who died at the scene, then AK (25) and HS (40) died while traveling to the hospital (RS)," said Head of Public Relations of the Bantul Police AKP I Nengah Jeffry Prana Widnyana in a statement in Bantul, Friday.

He said the death toll from the single traffic accident of the tourism bus was a man and two women.

He said, a total of 53 passengers including the driver who took the tourism bus with the police number E-7607-V. The identity of the driver is AF (24) from Karanganyar Regency, Central Java

"A total of 10 passengers have returned by bus, and the rest (of the injured victims) are still being treated at the hospital," he said.

According to him, the single traffic accident was reported to have occurred on Thursday (8/2/2024) at around 13.00 WIB on Jalan Imogiri-Manggunan, to be precise the Turnangan Wanagama Bawah Bukit Bego, Kedung Buweng Hamlet, Wukirsari Village, Imogiri District, Bantul Regency.
