Reveals There Is A Voice Letter Not Reaching Indonesian Citizens In Malaysia, Bawaslu: It Means That The Address Is Problematic

Chairman of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) RI Rahmat Bagja said there were a number of ballots for the 2024 General Election that did not reach the addresses of Indonesian citizens (WNI) voters in Malaysia.

It was this ballot that did not arrive that was allegedly filed by the party whose whereabouts were still being investigated.

"The ballot which was then sent by post, which was not conveyed to the voters, was used. It means that the address is problematic," said Rahmat after attending an event held by the 'Jakarta Foreign Correspondents Club' in South Jakarta, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 7, which was confiscated by Antara.

Rahmat did not explain in more detail how many ballots did not reach the Indonesian citizen in Malaysia.

Currently, Bawaslu is deploying supervisors in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to investigate the findings of the voting letter. In addition, Bawaslu has also sent two people to Kuala Lumpur to speed up the investigation process.

"What is clear is that we will also call our friends from the overseas election committee (PPLN)," he said.

Regarding the further investigation process in Kuala Lumpur, Rahmat was reluctant to speak in more detail.

Previously, a video circulated showing the legislative and presidential elections in the 2024 General Election has been cast in Malaysia. For the 2024 presidential election ballot, the video appears to be voting for presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) said it would immediately send a fact-finding team to investigate allegations of election fraud in the form of illegally voting ballots in Malaysia.

TKN also broadcasts a video showing the alleged fraud. In the video, you can see several sacks bearing the words "Malaya Pos" which allegedly contains ballots for legislative members (pileg) and the 2024 presidential election.

In addition, it was also seen that a number of people had voted for the 2024 Legislative Election for certain parties. The alleged fraud was immediately reported by TKN to Bawaslu.
