BANJARNEGARA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, has confirmed that there have been no casualties in landslides and moving ground that hit the area in the last two days. Head of the Banjarnegara Regency BPBD Emergency and Logistics Division Andri Sulistyodi admitted that volunteers from a number of areas such as Jakarta and Surabaya were about to come to Banjarnegara because there were reports of casualties in the disaster in the area. "I make sure the news is a hoax. Even if there were casualties due to a water accident in the river, it was not due to a disaster," he said in Banjarnegara, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 7. According to him, all the victims of landslides and land movements in Banjarnegara were safe, although there were those who were trapped by landslides or minor injuries due to falling during the evacuation. Even now people are in good condition and healthy in evacuation. "Local governments will continue to monitor, assist, and deploy resources in emergency response efforts, because our emergency response is until February 29," he said. He said based on temporary data in the last two days, 27 landslides and moving land were recorded, including settlements, broken district road infrastructure, and mosques. Currently, his party is focusing on handling the movable land disaster in Kalitlaga Village, Pagentan District, which has occurred since last Tuesday. "In Kalitlaga, in the meantime, all houses have been heavily damaged and do not deserve to be occupied. In addition, we have evacuated 26 families, even 10 houses have collapsed because the movement of the land continues to occur slowly towards the Mrawung River which is about 400 meters away," he said. Therefore, he said, BPBD together with the Pagentan District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) and the Kalitlaga Village Government made field posts and placed refugees in proper housing. In addition, he continued, meeting basic and health needs for refugees and logistical needs of the field public kitchen. "Today (7/2) we formed and distributed logistics," he asserted. According to him, the Banjarnegara Regency BPBD has temporarily vacated the ground disaster area moving in Kalitlaga Village because the ground movement is still quite significant and almost every hour there is a sound caused by the ground movement. Asked about the number of refugees due to the disaster that occurred since Tuesday (6/2), he said his party had not yet sampled the total number of refugees. "However, in Kalitlaga Village, the number of refugees reached 88 people, while in Nagasari Village, Pagentan District there were 43 people," said Andri.

In this case, 43 residents of Nagasari Village fled due to a landslide that occurred on Tuesday at 01.30 WIB.
