TPN Ganjar-Minta Prabowo-Gibran Resign Voluntary, TKN: These Are Frustrated People

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) Habiburokhman responded to the statement by TPN Ganjar-Mahfud regarding Prabowo-Gibran being asked to resign voluntarily for violating the code of ethics.

Deputy for Legal Affairs of TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Todung Mulya Lubis, brought up the decision of the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) to impose a strong warning sanction on the chairman and members of the Indonesian KPU in the registration process for Gibran Rakabuming as a presidential candidate.

Previously, the chairman of the Constitutional Court, Anwar Usman, was also given severe sanctions for violating the code of ethics as a constitutional judge regarding the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Responding to this, Deputy Chairperson of TKN Habiburokhman said they were frustrated.

"These are people who are frustrated, don't read the DKPP decision anymore, the DKPP decision is clear on page 185 188 that the DKPP decision strengthens the legal standing of Prabowo-Gibran because it says the Constitutional Court decision number 90 will take effect for the 2024 election," said Habiburokhman at the TKN Kertanegara Media Center, Tuesday, February 6.

Therefore, said Habiburokhman, the General Election Commission (KPU) as the organizer of the election must follow the decision.

"That's why if TPN Ganjar-Mahfud makes the DKPP decision a reason to discredit and then say we violate ethics, it's a frustrating statement, one person may not understand the law and then does not know the condition, the third is panicked because electability has declined," said Habiburokhman.
