Norwegian Cruiser Jewel Brings Tourists To Lombok

Norwegian Jewel cruise ships docked at Gilimas Lembar Harbor, West Lombok Regency (Lobar), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province with 2,300 tourists.

"Most of these tourists who come come come from Europe," said Nedi, one of the freelance tour guides in Gerung, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

Tourists who got off the cruise ship were seen being greeted directly by the art of Gendang Beleq before leaving for a number of tourist destinations in Lombok.

From information from PT Lombok Paradise, which is the operator of this cruise ship tour, his party handles 460 tourists.

"They will visit a number of tourist destinations such as Taman Narmada, Taman Lingsar, Sesela Art Market, Senggigi, Mataram to Mandalika," he said.

He said the tourists were not only to the destinations that had been mentioned, a number of tourists who chose other tour guides were seen being taken to a number of nearby places such as the Mangrove forest in South Lembar to the gili-gili in Sekotong.

"Guides also get a lot of guests, we take some to Mangrove Lembar to the gili in Sekotong by boat," he said.

The plan to bring cruise ship tourists to visit nearby destinations and tourist villages around Gilimas Port has indeed been discussed for a long time.

"We have planned it for a long time, we have invited operator tours to the nearest tourist villages, and seen firsthand their feasibility, we have also discussed with the tourist villages, hopefully the progress for it can run smoothly," said Irman.

"Thankfully friends who are free to start bringing cruise ship tourists to the nearest places, we really appreciate it, hopefully there will be more destinations that can be visited in the future," he continued.

He also hopes that all parties can pay attention to the quality of service for tourists who come, so that the good impression of West Lombok tourism, especially can be heard more widely.

"The leaning Aida Bella cruise ship carries about 2,030 passengers, the majority of whom are from Germany," said the Head of Marketing for the West Lombok Regency Tourism Office (Dispar), Irman Sumantri.

He said as many as 830 passengers were scheduled to visit a number of tourist attractions in Lombok such as Narmada, Lingsar, Sesela, Senggigi, Mataram to Gili Air and Gili Trawangan.

"That's the number of cruise ship guests who are managed directly by the Bidy Tour as the official tour operator, it's divided into 27 buses," he said.
