East Jakarta Metro Police arrested four perpetrators of a brawl provocateur at the Prumpung Public Cemetery (TPU), RW 04, North Cipinang Besar, Jatinegara, East Jakarta on Tuesday, February 6. The arrest was led directly by the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly.

The perpetrators were involved as provocateurs of brawls in the Prumpung TPU area on Monday night, February 5. Kombes Nicolas and his staff arrested several provocateurs involved between these 2 groups of teenagers.

"Tonight I and my members secured four provocateurs who were indicated to have fought at the Prumpung TPU," said Kombes Nicolas when confirmed, Tuesday, February 6.

The East Jakarta Metro Police Chief who met with the Head of RW 04, CBU Village, continued to coordinate regarding the teenagers involved in the brawl at the Prumpung TPU.

"There are frequent brawls in the TPU because many teenagers gather together or play football on the Prumpung TPU road and have many access to the TPU by jumping over the fence," he said.

The East Jakarta Metro Police Chief instructed his staff, both the Resort Police and the Jatinegara Police, especially to always carry out patrols during vulnerable hours.

Kombes Nicolas also appealed to residents and teenagers who gathered past the time limit to be disbanded immediately.

Meanwhile, Doni, a local resident, hopes that the East Jakarta City Government will return the function of the Prumpung TPU as a burial place instead of a gathering place, so that it becomes one of the triggers for brawls between groups of teenagers.

"For TPU to be surrounded and added barbed wire, small door access is closed and only through one main door so that it can be monitored," he said.
