Get Pocket Money From Parents, Dozens Of Students Even Jointly Buy Celurit For Brawl

The East Jakarta Metro Police arrested 20 teenagers who were involved in a brawl from the Cakung and Duren Sawit areas equipped with various sharp weapons of the type of sickle, machete, coding of ducks to the crossbar.

From the results of police investigations, the perpetrators of the brawl claimed to have received sharp weapons by buying through sales via social media. The money for buying the sajam was also obtained from the collective results of the brawlers.

They got the money from the pocket money given by their parents which was collected to buy sharp weapons of the type of sickle.

"They ordered this sickle to pay dues in installments, money from their parents. The contributions were collected and stored by this group, to buy sharp weapons," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to reporters, Monday, February 5.

The perpetrators admitted to buying sharp weapons for Rp. 300 to Rp. 700 thousand. This price depends on the length of the sickle type.

"Sajam mereka beli ada (harga) Rp300, 500, 700 ribu, tergantung panjangnya. Ini (perpetrator) pelajar semua. Mereka dueu beli alat perangkat (senjata tajaran) untuk tawuran," ujarnya.

In addition to sharp weapons, the police also confiscated golf clubs and hard water from the arrested brawlers. The liquid of hard water was put into a bottle of beling.

"There is also hard water prepared. The East Jakarta Police will reveal the perpetrators who sell hard water," he said.

Meanwhile, three of the 20 perpetrators who were arrested acted as social media admins for brawls. The brawlers also often consume alcohol before fighting.

"Three of them are admins. From this admin, we arrested friends who were involved in a brawl. They are mostly minors," he said.

Kombes Nicolas appealed to parents in East Jakarta to supervise their children more. Especially at night national holidays.

"Alert the children on national holidays and others, Friday night until Sunday night because they made a brawl. From the results of the examination, there were brawlers who only joined their friends and deliberately showed their existence," he said.
