BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Beyvi Machmudin reminded that the village head is a government apparatus who must also set an example, instead of flexing or showing off wealth.

"The village head is an officer, he should also set an example for the community by not providing bad examples and showing off very bad things," Bey said in Bandung as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.

As village officials, said Bey, village heads should be role models and role models by being reasonable. Including social media, it must be used to notify the public about programs and development in their area.

"It's only natural. So this social media is also used for good, for example, if he works or development activities and so on, don't show off what to do," he said.

It is known that the Village Head (Kades) of Gunung Menyan, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency, Wiwin Komalasari, went viral on Instagram. Warganet highlighted Wiwin's appearance in a demonstration in front of the DPR building about extending the term of office of the village head.

In the video circulating, Wiwin is seen wearing a "branded" bag which is allegedly worth hundreds of millions of rupiah. In fact, as is known, the salary of village heads in Indonesia is only around Rp. 2 million per month.

Wiwin himself is quite active on social media TikTok, his followers also reach hundreds of thousands. In his personal TikTok account, Wiwin's uploads are mostly related to his personal affairs, which he often displays some of his luxury brand bags.

In addition, Wiwin also uploads a lot of content when he sings rather than providing information and interacting with the community.
