Central Lombok Police Ensures That Residents' Killers In Inter-village Clashes In Pujut Continue To Be Wanted

The Central Lombok Police confirmed that they would continue to investigate the stabbing perpetrator until the death of Amaq Alus in a clash between residents of Alla Anyar Village and Ketare Village, Pujut District. It has been two months since the death of the victim has not been revealed who the killer is.

"We are handling the case of the death of the deceased," said Central Lombok Police Chief, AKBP Iwan Hidayat in his statement in Praya, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, Monday, February 5, as reported by Antara.

Previously, hundreds of villagers, All Others held demonstrations and blocked roads on the BIL Mandalika Bypass Line on Sunday, February 4.

In this action, residents set fire to tires on all lanes, so that flames and smoke were seen rising high. This tire burn caused the police to close the Airport-Mandalika Bypass Line and change lanes.

"While we are diverting traffic flow. The police are optimistic that this incident will definitely be revealed, it will take time," he said.

The community also held remembrance and prayer together in the middle of the Mandalika Bypass route.

The victim's family named Abdussyukur said that his party demanded that the police arrest the perpetrators of the persecution who had killed his family.

"We promise not to take action again, if the perpetrator of the murder is arrested," he said.

In addition, residents threatened to abstain in the General Election on February 14, 2024, if the perpetrator had not been arrested.

"We agreed we would not vote. We will continue to block the road until the perpetrators are arrested," he said.
