Jokowi Asks Ansor's Big Family To Guard Development Sustainability

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked for support from the extended family of Ansor to make the 2024 election a success and ensure the sustainability of development which is now well underway in Indonesia. "The election is a party of the people and I ask the scholars, religious leaders, scholars, and the big family of Ansor, we succeed in the election that is already in sight and guarantee the sustainability of development," said President Jokowi when opening the XVI GP Ansor Congress in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, quoted by ANTARA Friday, February 2. In the agenda attended by about 2,400 participants from among the Ansor youth, Jokowi said that today's young people are future leaders and determinants. Therefore, said Jokowi, the elections on February 14, 2024, are a national grand agenda that requires the support and participation of the entire community. "Everything is very, our commitment is very necessary. Our commitment must be democratic, take place safely and orderly, which is important to be encouraging, not disturbing, not scary, the unity and integrity of the nation must be above all means. Agree?," said Jokowi to welcome the applause of the participants. "President Jokowi also invited GP Ansor to be at the forefront of the Election as the guardian of brotherhood and integrity of Indonesia. "Actively cooling the atmosphere if tension rises is not necessary, if tension rises must cool and be active in clarification," he said. On that occasion, Jokowi also invited GP Ansor to oversee the continuity of Indonesia's development, which is now running far away. "We can only achieve gold Indonesia with consistency, continuity, stepping up without stopping. Our task is not only to guard the election, our task is also to oversee future government in order to be able to carry out its best task, winning Indonesia in future competition," he said.

In addition, the President also reminded all parties to be introspective in responding to a global situation full of uncertainty. "Continue to defend human values, fight for Palestinian independence, fight for two state solutions, together with the Palestinian people fight for their independence. We are strong not for ourselves, but for Islamic brotherhood, brotherhood humanity," Jokowi concluded his remarks.
