Former Head Of Drugs At The South Lampung Police, Fredy Pratama Network, Demands The Death Penalty

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Bandarlampung District Attorney (Kejari), Eka, demanded the death penalty for the former Head of Drugs at the Lampung Police, AKP Andri Gustami in an intermediary case for the circulation of methamphetamine belonging to the Fredy Pratama network.

"Demanding that the panel of judges impose the death penalty against the defendant Andri Gustami," he said while reading the indictment at the Tanjungkarang District Court, Bandar Lampung, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 1.

The balance in these demands includes the defendant as a police officer who has been an intermediary for the circulation of international narcotics networks.

In addition, the defendant without rights or against the law has committed malicious conspiracy to offer, sell and sell, buy, exchange, hand over or receive, class I narcotics.

The defendant in the case was charged with multiple articles, namely Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics or subject to Article 137 letter A in conjunction with Article 136 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

After hearing the charges, the defendant through his legal advisor plans that next week he will defend or pledoi.

It is known that the former Head of Drugs at the South Lampung Police carried out an action to guard or pass narcotics belonging to the Fredy Pratama network from May to June 2023.

Throughout May to June, AKP AG carried out eight escorts with 150 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 2,000 ecstasy pills. Where from the results of the escort, the defendant AKP AG managed to pocket Rp1.3 billion from the Fredy Pratama network.
