BNNP Lampung Denies Honorary BNNK Central Lampung Involved In Drug Network Fredy Pratama

The Lampung Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) denied that there were honorary elements of the Central Lampung Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) who were arrested and involved in the Fredy Pratama drug network.

"In connection with media coverage on January 31, 2024, regarding the press release of the crime of narcotics BB 38.19 kg of crystal methamphetamine revealed by the Lampung Regional Police and stated that one of the suspects with the initials MY is the BNN honorarium is not true," said Head of BNNP Lampung Brigadier General Pol Budi Wibowo, in Bandarlampung, Thursday, February 1, confiscated by Antara.

He emphasized that the Lampung BNNP and Regency BNN did not have honorary employees on that name. But the honorary person in question works at the Central Lampung Regency Government in the Welfare section.

"I as the Head of the Lampung BNNP confirm that these individuals are not BNNP or BNNK employees but honorary in Central Lampung Regency, part of the Regional Secretariat Welfare," he said.

According to Brigadier General Pol Budi, in accordance with BNN Regulation Number 6 of 2020 concerning BNNP and BNNK Organizations and Work Procedures. The existence of BNN in Lampung Province is six work units, the first of which is BNNP Lampung.

Then, he continued, there are five BNNK work units, namely in South Lampung, East Lampung, Tanggamus, Waykanan, and Metro City Regencies.

"Central Village does not have a BNNK, therefore we ask the media to clarify the news circulating. On the other hand, the news published by friends is not procedural because to our knowledge if there are individuals, they must confirm with the agency concerned, but I have never been confirmed by media friends," he said.

He also asked the media to continue to play an active role in preventing the eradication of narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking (P4GN).

"The role of the media is very important to help and free this country from the bad influence of narcotics with the right news. Do not even weaken the work units that oversee and move so that the nation's generation is free from the influence of narcotics," he said.

It is known that the Lampung Regional Police arrested eight narcotics syndicates of the Fredy Pratama network with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 38.19 kg. Of the eight suspects, the Lampung Regional Police stated that MY was an honorary employee of the Central Lampung Regency BNNK.
