Kapolda Invites The Community To Succeed In The 2024 General Election, FKUB Declaration Of Peaceful Elections

TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityaja invites all components of society in Kaltara to succeed in the general election or election which will be held on February 14, 2024.

In addition, the National Police together with the TNI have carried out various preparations to secure and succeed in the 2024 election. This is stated in the law number 02 of 2002 concerning the Police who serve as protectors, protectors and public servants.

"Let's make the upcoming 2024 election a success," said Daniel Adityaja

while attending the 2024 Peace Election gathering and Declaration with the Religious Communication Forum (FKUB) at the University of Kaltara, Wednesday, January 31.

The Kaltara Police Chief also told young people to be wise in using smartphones, this is because young people are more active in using smartphones, especially social media (sosmed).

"Because on social media there is a lot of news or information that has not been proven to be true (hoax). In addition, be careful with content that contains elements of SARA and hate speech," said the Kapolda.

The Regional Police Chief explained that the National Police Chief had emphasized that all National Police personnel in dealing with elections must be neutral.

"Entry points, namely the need for cooperation or collaboration of all parties, both from the community and the government, in maintaining and making the 2024 election a success," he said.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Kaltara, Zainal A Paliwang emphasized that divisions could occur during the election because of reading hoax news and hate speech and black campaigns.

"For that, I hope we maintain mutual harmony and have an attitude of tolerance in order to realize the safe and peaceful 2024 election," he concluded.
