JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto stated that he would investigate the destruction of the fence outside the DPR RI Building during a demonstration by the masses from the Village Head Association (APDESI).

The investigation was carried out by tracing photos or videos when the vandalism occurred.

"Yes, of course (investigated), we have documentation, but it's slowly," Karyoto told reporters, Wednesday, January 31.

Through the documentation of the demonstration, it will be known who the perpetrator was from the destruction of the fence outside the DPR RI Building.

For now, Karyoto continued, the police did not secure any of the mass demonstrations. However, as the investigation process progresses, later there will be legal accountability related to the destruction.

"Yes, until now there is none, not yet there. Later it will allow us to see the damage, we ask for accountability," said Karyoto.

Previously, it was reported that the mass action from APDESI was causing trouble. They burned wood and a number of banners.

In fact, they damaged the fence outside the DPR RI Building. The crowd tied the rope to the fence and pulled it continuously.

A number of bottles of mineral water were also thrown by the masses into the DPR RI Building. Rough sentences were also about the rejection of decisions that were considered impartial to the people.

Not only that, the protesters also threw stones into the DPR RI Building.

They criticized the Indonesian House of Representatives if they did not revise the Village Law, the masses would force their way into it. Although a number of police have reminded demonstrators to be orderly, the masses still stoned and banged on the iron fence of the Indonesian Parliament Building.
